Welcome to the Home Page of Milton Keynes Scale Model Club (MKSMC). This page will give you the ongoing story that is our club and lead you to details of our monthly meeting and show attendance.
Just a quick reminder about what we have going on in the club!
1. April Club night is 24th from 7pm – Comp theme is anything in a 6x6x6 inch format. We will also be talking about the upcoming show at DeHavilland Museum and our own ModelKraft 2024.
2. Last display at Milton Keynes Library is Saturday 27th April, top floor. Bring something to display, bring something to build, or just chat. The aim is to promote ModelKraft and modelling in general with always a good footfall of potential younger modellers (ie anybody below 60). The library opens 9am to 5pm.
3. DeHavilland Museum Model Show 19th May – John W is leading the club stand at this show. If you are visiting the show (which has been excellent in previous years), come and say hello. If you have anything you want displayed let John W know.
4. ModelKraft – we are full steam ahead for Saturday May 25th. If you can help us at any point make sure we know. It could be help setting up on Friday late PM/Evening or Early Saturday. Even during the day you could help cover cash desk or just cover for a hall steward for an hour or so
5. May Club night is 22nd. An amendment to the schedule is needed as we usually have AGM after ModelKraft. We will therefore START the 2024-25 monthly competition early with Aircraft
6. June Club meeting is 26th. The AGM is in June. Interested in helping the club run and have an evening a month to give on the committee?? There WONT be a competition this month but we will put on a display (if you bring stuff) that commemorate the Allies in D-Day and Normandy operations.
Not visited the club for a while? Let me know if there is anything putting you off or you’d like to see us do. You are always welcome to come back no matter the length of time away.
There will be a model show in Milton Keynes during 2024 using the well loved ModelKraft brand. Hosted by MKSMC this will be a smaller event, more on par with our Stantonbury Campus days. However still all the fun of the fair. Use link in top menu for more details.

MKSMC has once again booked space in Milton Keynes Library
To promote scale modelling in MK and our upcoming ModelKraft Show we will have tables on all Saturdays in April 2024, ie 6th 13th 20th and 27th April. Timing is between 09.00 and 16.00. We will have models on show and some demonstrations of modelling, focussing on people new to the hobby.
MKSMC wins Best UK Branch Display 2023 at Telford
Sat 11th & Sun 12th November 2023 Scale Model World TELFORD. We had a large well attended club stand at one of the premier shows on the calendar. We were awarded the Best UK Branch Display for 2023, a great accolade.

Brampton Show at St Ives
Great show on 24th September 2023 and MKSMC came away with Runner Up for Best Club Table. Thanks Andy Mc for your hard work.

Shiny things from Wings and Things
17th Sept 2023 we had a stand at Wings and Things in Holbeach. Our Dave S and Andy Mc both got Gold Medals. Was a great show and our thanks go to IPMS Fenland for hosting.
Fen Model Show
This spectacular show held in Ely was well attended with superb quality models. Our Simon O came away with a brilliant Bronze medal whilst our Dave S came away with a special award for his Warhorse.
MAFVA Nationals June 18th 2023
We put on a great display at the MAFVA Nationals held in St Ives (PE27 6WU). We had 2 x 6 feet tables. This was a successful show for MKSMC.
MKSMC Charity Donations October 2022
Life President Dave Scott took time out to present the cheque for money raised at ModelKraft 2022 to Willen Hospice. £6000 was raised by the show, which was shared between the Hospice and the Medical Detection Dogs Charity.

Pleased to report a great show and good club turnout for the stand with a diverse range of models. Thanks to all at Brampton Model club for putting on a great show.
MKSMC won the Models for Sale Trophy for best Table in Show.
IPMS Nationals 2021
We are pleased to announce that Hon Life President Dave Scott won the Senior Nationals at IPMS UK 2021 with his War Horse model. Scratch built and sculpted in brass, resin and numerous other materials.
